What we collect, and what we don't.
AI Search Ready is a free, anonymous audit tool. We don't ask for an account. We don't follow you around. This page lists every piece of data we touch, what it's for, and how long we keep it — in plain English first.
What we collect.
Each time you run an audit we record a small amount of data so the tool can work and we can keep it free and abuse-resistant.
- Audited URL The address you typed in. Stored so you can return to the report and so we can produce comparisons.
- Audit results The findings we generated about that URL — scores, flagged checks, and snippets of HTML from the audited page. Stored alongside the URL.
- Requester IP Stored against each audit row to enforce a per-IP rate limit (3 audits per day, 1 comparison per day). We don't profile it.
- Timestamp When the audit ran. Used to power "last audited" timestamps and the per-IP rolling window.
- Roadmap email (optional) If you've previously dropped your email on the roadmap notify form, we keep it until the feature you signed up for ships, or until you ask us to delete it. The form is offline while we refresh the roadmap.
- GA4 analytics (with consent) Page views, referrer, rough geography (country and region), device class, and a pseudonymous Google Analytics ID. GA4 is loaded via Google Tag Manager and only fires after you accept analytics cookies. IP addresses are anonymised by GA4 before storage.
What we don't.
We use Google Analytics 4 (loaded through GTM and gated by Cookiebot) for aggregate measurement, and nothing else of the kind. Specifically, we don't run:
- No accounts There's no sign-up flow. We don't have your email unless you put it in the roadmap form or write to us.
- No ad networks No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag, no Google Ads remarketing tag, no programmatic beacons.
- No cross-site profiles We don't buy data, don't enable Google Signals on our GA4 property, and don't link your visits to any other identity.
- No fingerprinting No canvas, font, or audio-context fingerprinting. The site works the same with JavaScript disabled — analytics simply does not load.
- No data sales We don't sell, rent, or trade any data we collect.
For the full list of cookies the site sets, see the Cookies page — it pulls a live inventory from Cookiebot so it never drifts out of date.
How long we keep it.
- Audit reports Kept for as long as the tool is running so the share URL keeps working. Re-auditing the same URL produces a fresh row alongside the old one. Ask us to delete a specific report and we will.
- Comparison reports Same as audit reports — UUID-addressed and persistent until you ask us to remove them.
- Roadmap emails Kept until you ask us to delete them, or until you reply asking to be removed when we email about a shipped feature.
- GA4 analytics Google's default retention (currently 14 months for events). We don't configure custom lookbacks.
Your rights.
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to:
- Access Ask for a copy of any data we hold against your IP or email.
- Delete Ask us to remove a specific audit report, comparison, or roadmap signup.
- Object Ask us not to use your data for a specific purpose. Given how little we collect, this is usually answered by deletion.
- Portability Receive any data we hold in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these, email hello@aisearchready.app and include enough information for us to find the data (the URL you audited, the rough date, the email you used). We'll respond within 14 days.
You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We'd rather hear from you first, but you don't owe us that.
Changes to this policy.
This page is the canonical version. If we make a material change — adding a data category, changing retention, or introducing a new third party — we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and post a short note describing what changed.
