Privacy
How we handle your data.
Audits are anonymous. We don't ask for your email to run one. We use Google Analytics only if you accept cookies. We don't sell or share data. The live list of cookies the site sets is on the Cookies page.
Last updated: 2026-05-15.
Who's responsible
The data controller for this site is Sofie Bergkvist, operating aisearchready.app as a sole proprietor. Contact: hello@aisearchready.app.
What we collect, by activity
Running an audit
When you paste a URL and run an audit, we store: the URL you submitted, the IP address that made the request (used for rate-limiting), the rendered HTML of the pages we sampled from your site, and the audit result. Audits live at a UUID-based URL that anyone with the link can view. There is no public directory and no search.
We do not ask for your email. There is no account. The audit is anonymous from our side — the only identifier we have is an IP address, which we use to keep abuse manageable.
Comparison reports
Same as audits, with one extra URL per competitor you add. Same UUID-based link model.
Waitlist
If you join the waitlist for an upcoming feature, we store: your email address, the feature name you signed up for, the page that referred you, and the timestamp of your signup. We use this only to email you when the feature ships. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any waitlist email, or by emailing hello@aisearchready.app.
Analytics (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages visitors find useful and where things break. GA4 collects standard usage signals: page views, approximate geographic region (city level), device class, and how you arrived on the site. We don't set any first-party identifiers ourselves; GA4 manages its own. If you decline, GA does not load at all.
Legal bases (GDPR Article 6)
- Audits and comparisons: performance of a service you actively requested (Art. 6(1)(b)), plus our legitimate interest in protecting the service from abuse via rate-limiting (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Waitlist: your consent, given when you submit the form (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Analytics: your consent, given via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and processes data only on our instructions.
- Railway — hosting for the application and database.
- Cloudflare — DNS and bot protection. Cloudflare sets short-lived cookies (
__cf_bm,cf_clearance) for security; these are strictly necessary and exempt from consent. - Microsoft 365 — email at
hello@aisearchready.app. - Google (Analytics) — loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. Google may transfer data to the United States; transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Cookiebot (Usercentrics) — records your consent choice so we know what we're allowed to load on subsequent visits.
How long we keep things
- Audits and comparisons: kept for analytics and product-improvement purposes. We may delete older runs as the dataset grows.
- Waitlist emails: kept until the feature launches and we've emailed you about it, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Analytics data in GA4: retained per Google's defaults (currently 14 months for events).
- Consent records (Cookiebot): 12 months, after which we ask again.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict our use of it, object to it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@aisearchready.app and we'll respond within 30 days.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Sweden that's Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY); if you're elsewhere in the EU/EEA, it's your country's data protection authority.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies for security and — with your consent — analytics. The live list of cookies currently set, their purpose, and their lifetime is on the Cookies page, which also lets you change your consent choice.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data we'll update this page and bump the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes (new processors, new categories of data) will be flagged at the top of the page for a month.
